1. Upload monitor files. FBNSM can create your fields entirely from your planter, fertility, chemical, or harvest monitor files. Files can be uploaded to FBN through the “Upload” section, or shared via DropBox, Google Drive, mailing thumb drives, by email (email@example.com) or any way you prefer!
2. Draw your fields in “Mapping” by clicking the “Draw Boundary” icon in the upper left hand corner (pen with a dotted line).
3. Import shape files in the “Farms and Fields” and “Mapping” sections by clicking the “Import Shape Files” icon (shape with + in the middle). In “Farms and Fields” this icon is located in the upper right of the Farms list. In “Mapping” this icon is located on the left hand side icon bar. Shape files must be in .zip format and include the .dbf, .shp, .shx, and .prj files.
4. Call or email FBN (firstname.lastname@example.org) We can find boundaries for you! Just let us know the names associated with the land you farm including: primary operators, landlords, other family members.
